Hello Spinners!

Welcome to the Summer issue of Spindlicity. We had a little delay this issue, but everything is back on track now. We hope you enjoy this issue!

This issue features the announcement of the winner of the shawl contest. Our biggest congratulations to Nancy Ratliffe the winner of the shawl contest sponsored by The Fabulous Fiber Fest! Nancy will be on her way to SOAR 2006 this October. All of the shawls entered were lovely and everyone did a great job. All of the contestants are winners in our book.

We have a lovely hat pattern this issue, two new spindle makers to introduce you to, and an article about the pseudo-silks. Take some time to appreciate the beautiful hand-spun, hand-woven flag by Anna Zinsmeister, and for inspiration check out Gwen Powell and her Spinning Certificate of Excellence (COE).
