Editor's Corner

Welcome Spinners to our Fall edition!

As the weather turns cooler, I think of snuggling up in cozy scarves and hats and I get more excited about spinning. This issue features a neat trick from spindling superstar Connie Delaney. We also have interviews with two wonderful spindlemakers, Linda Diak and Steve Kundert. And if you occasionally think about recording your spinning efforts, check out our article on keeping a notebook. We also have a new feature, the beginner's corner which reviews basic spindling tips for newcomers to spinning. We start out this issue with "Anatomy of a Spindle". We also have a new contest coming up in the winter issue - the Spunky Top hat contest, with 3 luscious spindle prizes! We are looking for creativity in this contest, so let your imaginations run with it.

I am very excited about our 4th issue of Spindlicity. This completes our first year in publication! We have a lot of exciting new ideas for our next year, including some exciting announcements in the near future. As I reflect back on this first year I'd like to thank those friends that helped see Spindlicity through. First of all my staff, Kimley Maretzo and Kathy Hinckley who have put in countless hours for free helping me get this labor of love onto the internet, secondly, the contributors who give us variety and spice in our articles and finally, the sponsors of Spindlicity who help us bring you more and better articles with each issue. If you enjoy reading Spindlicity, please visit our sponsors and let them know that Spindlicity sent you! They keep us on the internet and with their help we hope to bring you better and better issues.

Finally, I'd like to wish all of you a lovely autumn. I hope that as the days grow shorter and cooler you find joy and contentment from your spinning. Drop us a line and let us know what you're doing. Our gallery is always there to showcase your works, and we value the input from all of our readers.

Happy autumn everyone!
